Paul refers to the spiritual blessings in Christ that believers enjoy and goes on to speak of God as having chosen them before the creation of the world (Eph. ; see also v. 11). Their salvation did not take place because they earned it but because God planned it, a truth that is otherwise. Dear Friends and Family, Thank you for reading this special message. Rev. Selvam Robertson. Introduction. John’s Gospel abounds with Jesus addressing God as father and that unique address gives adequate space to discuss “sonship” in explain sonship in John, two important titles repeatedly appearing in John’s Gospel, son of man and son of God, can be elaborately discussed with a passing reference to the title son of David at the start.

Therefore, Christ (not a redeemed man) is the head of the Church. "Christ is the head (the ruler) of the church; and he is saviour of the body: the Church." Ephesians PLEASE E MAIL ME YOUR RESPONSE TO THESE ARTICLES.

May the Lord continue to bless you. The Dawkins Letters. The Dawkins Letters are a response to Richard Dawkins' book The God Delusion.

The author, David Robertson, wrote a series of letters to Professor Dawkins, which were published on Dawkins' website. These letters have now been published in a slightly revised form in The Dawkins Letters. 10 November Dear Dr Dawkins. Don’t miss this fascinating interview hosted by Shelley Quinn and her guest, Pastor Ty Gibson on his new book “The Sonship Of God.” This program will open your eyes to the nature of Christ.

The Sonship of Christ is the central organizing point that lays the foundation for the book, but the implications of Christ's Sonship amount to a comprehensive treatment suitable for a college or Seminary textbook. Yet despite the depth and breadth of the subject, the book is written in a relaxed, easy style that is eminently readable.”.

A powerful message about the shift that takes place when you put your faith in Jesus Christ: from slaves to sons and heirs of God. In this ‘identity-shift’ the holy Spirit fulfils a powerful role as He is called the ‘Spirit of sonship’.

Still many Christians are ‘afraid’ for God. Why did God send His Son. God sent His Son to adopt us as His children. Galatians 4 reveals to us that God sent His Son because of our sinfulness, to be our Savior, so that we will receive His inheritance through our sonship.

What a glorious Christmas gift. In Christ we are redeemed, and in Christ. When one starts to look to the Old Testament to see what one can learn about sonship, it becomes obvious before we even get out of the first book of the Bible, Genesis, that a son is not someone's "little boy." In Genesis God tells Abraham to take his "son, thine only son Isaac" and sacrifice him to God on the mountain God would show Size: KB.

Romans - For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father). Father. Here Mr.

Robertson is saying that we should hold the ideas and opinions of man above the very Word of God itself. Let’s examine his statements more closely. Look, I know people will probably try to lynch me when I say this, but Bishop Ussher—God bless him!—wasn’t inspired by the Lord when he said it all took 6, years.

Sons and Heirs. 1 I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, 1 though he is the owner of everything, 2 but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. 3 In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles 2 of the world.

4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of. "Through Jesus Christ" In verse 5 Paul says, "God predestined us to sonship through Jesus Christ." Now to see what that means, look at Ephesians – 25) Christ loved the church and gave himself for her 26) that he might sanctify her [that is, "make her holy"].

The book comprises a series of ten letters to Dawkins, the first of which was published on Dawkins' own website, which counter the arguments in Dawkins' book chapter by chapter.

Robertson is clearly well-read and marshals his arguments in a balanced and intellectually sound way/5(37).

The Door of Sonship to God clearly articulated in Galatians is spiritual adoption through faith in Jesus Christ.

As Paul wrote in Gal ,5: As Paul wrote in Gal ,5: But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive. The Father sends his Son into the world. And that is not just a Davidic figure.

The Davidic sonship didn’t start, after all, until about 1, years before Christ. Thus, sonship can have all of the deep, rich set of associations that are traditionally tied to the deepest, most thoughtful, biblically mandated doctrine of the Trinity.

Response to a Letter about My Sermon on The New Heavens and Earth. Rev. ,7, may refer to the main things discussed in the book – the victory of Christ and the saints over the persecuting Roman Empire, but that does not mean that everything in the book had to be fulfilled before that date.
