The Alamo book. Read 17 reviews from the world's largest community for readers. The majority of the stories of the Alamo fight have been partly legendar /5. On this, the anniversary of the final Battle of the Alamo, I finished reading the book that talks about the story.

Although a bit dated (new evidence over the years talks about Crockett surviving and being gunned down execution style), it is still a lot more information and entertaining than the brief descriptions we got in Texas History class in 7th grade/5.

First published inJohn Myers Myers' THE ALAMO is the first of three outstanding, older Alamo books; the Readings on the Alamo book two are THIRTEEN DAYS TO GLORY, by Lon Tinkle () and A TIME TO STAND, by Walter Lord ().

The graphic novel approach is very interesting and entertaining; it Reviews: Battle of the Alamo - The Alamo is a fort in San Antonio, Texas, and was the place a battle was fought between February 23 and March 6, It was fought between the Republic of Texas, which was not yet a state, and the country of Mexico.

The Alamo Bride is the seventh installment of the Daughters of the Mayflower series.

I have had the privilege of reading the previous books, too, and I have developed a fondness for this series. Don’t worry, each book can be read seperately very well!4/5. This book is well written and I'm assuming well researched, but the way the stories are presented I just cannot get behind.
